Marie Gebbie founded Action Packaging, originally named Action Bag Company, in 1980 while she was in her early 50s. A true visionary and entrepreneur, everyone at Action Packaging is grateful for Marie’s personal dedication and sacrifices to start our wonderful business.
Nancy Cwynar joined Action Packaging in 1982 as our second employee. Nancy purchased Action Packaging from Marie Gebbie in 1995 making the business a second-generation woman owned business. Nancy’s legacy embodies being a responsible steward to the organization and having the utmost integrity in all her interactions.
Haley Cwynar purchased Action Packaging from Nancy Cwynar in 2021 making Action a third-generation woman owned business. Haley has brought Action Packaging’s culture to new heights helping our organization be named one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois in 2022, 2023 and 2024
