Our Art Department uses Mac-based Adobe software. Adobe Illustrator is the preferred program. Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign files may be accepted but are not recommended. For artwork created in other programs, please save or export the file as an EPS. Simply renaming a file extension will not convert it.

Preferred Format

Vector Artwork: Vector artwork is made of mathematical lines and curves, allowing it to be reduced or enlarged without loss of image quality.

• Adobe Illustrator: AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF with Illustrator editing capabilities
• CorelDRAW files exported as an AI file

All fonts must be converted to outlines, or the font files must accompany the artwork.

Acceptable Format

Raster Artwork: Raster artwork is made of rows of pixels. Enlarging raster images may reduce their quality or cause pixelation.

• Adobe Photoshop PSD
• TIF at 300 ppi and final imprint size
• JPG at 300 ppi and final imprint size

All raster files must be created at a minimum of 300 ppi (dpi) and at the desired imprint size. Artwork that must be enlarged to fit the imprint area may pixelate. Any placed raster images must be embedded.

Unacceptable Formats

Web Images: Files saved at 72 ppi (dpi) or lower are not suitable for printing.

• GIF
• PNG
• Low-resolution JPG

Microsoft Office Files: Microsoft Office programs are not considered graphic design software.

• Word
• Excel
• PowerPoint
• Publisher

Word and Excel documents may be accepted for general copy that will be typeset and placed on the custom product.
